Videos Needed

Post by Rich Rock »

We will be doing some promotional stuff at the Fairgrounds Mall in Reading the week of Feb 20. We will be showing hillclimb videos. If you have something you think we can use, we can use it! Let me know....

Are you doing the usual "display" of race cars too? If so, do you have enough cars, do you need some more, or same old, same old???

Got five or six cars, which is more than enough to fill the space we have. With the exception of Steve and Nancy's Mustang, all of the cars will be first-timers for this annual show.

What we need is good video. DVD or VHS tape. Also, what we need are people to be there during the day, from whenever you can get there until 4-5pm.

What program do people use to compile videos before burning onto DVDs. I have a bunch of short videos from standing at turns which are 5-15 seconds long, i wonder how you string them together so they play continuously. I have a new computer with windows 7 maybe there is some program in there, i havent really checked it out yet.

Rich,

You're welcome to use anything off my you tube account.
Mostly in car but high quality.
Some from last year are HD.

Thanks guys! Now, all we need is someone to put the youtube videos on disc or VHS tape and bring them to the show.

We'll be setting up Sunday morning before the 11 am mall opening and be there until it closes at 5pm. The rest of the week we'll be there every day after 4-5, and some afternoons. Still need help for the afternoon shifts

If you have a disc(dvd) with in-car or whatever, bring it on Sunday to the mall and I'll bring it home and make a compilation dvd. I am using Ulead Video Studio but can't seem to capture off youtube.

If we're not there when you arrive, just look under one of the tables for the bag containing the videos and other display items. Pop a disc in the TV which should already be set up and plugged in, put out some pamphlets and some Tootsie Rolls and you're set. Takes about two minutes. This goes for anyone who happens to show up.

I went over yesterday during my lunch and manned the booth for a little over an hour.
There weren't many people there, maybe talked to one or two folks.
I will try and go again today.

Show continues until 9pm saturday. Stop by and check us out. We have a nice selection of videos and old hillclimb programs and posters. We've got an EZ-up canopy set up and we're hangin' out having a good time. All that's missing is a grill and a cooler full of cold ones.

Hmmm, an interesting basis to start up a team for 2011. If a sponsor appears and the teams wins anything, it could donated to the Breast Cancer organization. The team shirts would certainly raise an eyebrow or two, but that is the price of increasing awareness.
