Rain and novice touring question.

Post by RX-Midget »

I was just thinking (very dangerous!), what is the policy for running touring in the rain for novices when they only have dry tires (slicks)? Is it still required?

With the weather forecast this weekend, this is a very real possibility for a friend of mine who has no rain tires.

HI,

Drive slower  It may be just less cars out at one time at a slower pace.

Ok. As long as Matt isn't the pace car in his pick-up

I guess I'll put the rains on tonight and tell Pete to take it easy on his touring laps.

Shhhhhhhhhhh!

Remember, I was merely trying to keep the pace up, ala the F1 pace cars...

Matt, if it rains, I'll do pace in the vee!
I want touring anyway I'll have my rains so it hopefully won't rain.

Well, I'm already thinking the worst. I'll be bringing my driving gear, but I won't get my hopes up. If it is raining, this will be one more weekend I'll be on the sidelines...

BTW- A few channels are showing that area of WV/VA/MD/PA with rainfall totals in the 8" range between Friday night and Sunday night...

Actually, new updates say Sunday might be decent...

Just an FYI-

I have a hotel room for all 3 nights, so if the Friday night rains are as heavy as they're saying and someone wants to split the room, let me know. I'll probably be over Friday evening at Jefferson to register. Bring earplugs. I'm told that I snore as much as I talk... Yes really.
