Would a Formula SAE car meet the safety requirements for special 1 class?

Most likely a Formula SAE car would not meet the roll cage rules as per the GCR(General Competion Rules for Road Racing) Section 18 for formula cars. Most SAE cars do not have large enough tubing to meet the rules. Also, the short wheelbase of a SAE would make them very unstable at the high speeds that happen at Duryea. Otherwise, if the car meets the safety rules, it should have no problem running.
