Vids: Danko hears the news and Hyde on-board camera

Post by JekylandHyde »

Danko coming off the mountain and hearing the news of his new record.
(this is a lot better full-screeen on the TV ... it was made small enough for Internet sharing - sorry)

Hyde's 48.3 second SM2 record run:
(camera is mountain on the passenger side where a fog light normally would be -> it's not centered on the car)

Very cool vid. I bought the Circuit City insurance with the thought of mounting the Hi-Def camera in the front of the car. I also bought an external mic that i want to mount at the opening of the exhaust. I'm going to work on it for Rose Valley.

Your car pulls so hard and sounds great.
Thanks for the vid.

Awesome vid, as always.................and did you notice that you lifted before the finish line?? What, are you trying to keep from breaking out? Great run, and just think, you can knock another .5 off the time!

There is a definitely more time in there. There are a few places I wanted to work on things. That run was #3 on Saturday and I wasted a lot of runs on Sunday trying to locate a boost leak. By the time I found it I only had one run left.

Not sure if you can tell in the vid, but I was in 4th at turn one and took it down to 2nd for the elbow, I hit redline coming out of the elbow, got off it a bit and hit redline in 2nd again coming out of #3.

On Sunday I was taking that whole section in 3rd which saved two shifts, was smoother overall and carried more momentum, but I never put it all together on a run without a boost leak :(

Oh well, there's always next year ;)
