Well, I'm not sure there is a "list", but typically if you contact the Chief of Tech for the school, they can tell you.

Also, there will be a LOT of Scrutineers at the Round Table, and don't miss the session on How to Prepare for Drivers School, hosted by an instructor for DC Region and also co-hosted by our own Dave Yeager...

Annual Time Trials Inspection

Post by Rick Kase »

I spoke with J W Orrs (chief of teck) about setting up a day for an annual teck. If we get enough confirmed cars, we will set one up.

We are looking at a sunday in late April or early May, no firm date set at this time.

Please respond to this forum if you want to participate. Or contact me at mgbgt13@ptd.net, or see me at the PHA meeting in April.

I would be willing to make a specific tech date.
The only reason I couldn't is if I have a race scheduled, but otherwise I am in.

Thanks for considering this as a possibility. :)

HI,

Paul wanted a Road Race Annual Tech I believe. Does J.W. have a National Road Race Tech Licence?

Annual TT inspection would be nice, I'll pass the word up north post when somethings setup.

This annual inspection is for TT only, not for club racing.

Tim,

Only a National licence tech inspector can do a Club Racing annual inspection.
Currently only the following that I know of have that license for Club Racing.
George Blouser
Brian Holtz
Karl Iochum
Marc Gerstein
Steve Limbert
Myself

There is a annual tech day for road racing being done in the South Jersey area. I suggest that anyone wishing to go road racing that they contact the South Jersey Region. I also think that WDCR is doing an annual tech day for Road Racing.

Thor,
Does that mean your dad can now use the "JIFFY JOHNS" this year.

Thor,
You should know as a future Tech. Inspector, that you still have to check your dad's underwear- among other things (so maybe that remark about anal wasn't that far off base).

OK guys, my fumble-fingered son had a classic typo. It was an annual club racing tech inspection. Passed with no problems. :D It is appropriate to check the drawers though...going down the chute near flat out can have the side effect of anal leakage.

Steve Limbert, as I understand it, lives close to Dillsburg PA. He can do the club racing tech. He was also the Chief Steward at the school last weekend. Sorry, I do not have his number or address.

TECH SEMINAR 4-14-07

Thanks Joe for putting on an informative session.

One suggestion arising from concerns raised by drivers of newer cars:

Although it's not on the tech form, we might ask during tech:

1. Does your car have an airbag system?

2. Is it disabled? (fuse pulled, etc.,)

Mel, A good suggestion...the TTR states (in essence) that, if you wear a full face helmet, it is strongly recommended that you disable the airbags. We can inquire and suggest that they disable the airbags, but we can't make them do so. Joe F.
