I am autocrossing on the 25th (weekend after Weatherly).
The event is held by NEPA at the Schuylkill Mall which is only 20-25 minutes up the road from you :)

It's right on Route 61 about 2-3 miles north of Pottsville.
In case you were planning to go to this autocross, I have heard that it has been cancelled and rescheduled for October 9 at Frackville, PA. However, the NEPA site doesn't mention this, so I don't know what is actually going on...

(This is not the Susquehanna / Appalachian club event at Park City -- that is still on for Sunday).

Yes, I heard this morning that this autocross was rescheduled for the 9th.
They are also having one on the 2nd.

I might check out Park City.

HI all,

The event in Frackville is still on as far as I know. I just spoken to Jeremy who runs the event and he needed the truck back ASAP from Weatherly because of the Solo at Frackville this Sunday. I will get a hold of him to confirm this.

If it turns out that the event is not cancelled, I will post a correction to the original message (that was also the source of the nerdsracing post, if that's were you saw it this morning Jeff).

No, I did not see it on Nerds.

I got this private message on another board:

HI,

That's correct Sept 25th at Frackville is canceled.

Oct 2 and Oct 9 are the next 2 events at Frackville. Pass the word and sorry for the cancelation, but the paperwork at Frackville Mall would have been finished in time. BTW it was submit on time but someone there must have dropped the ball. Hey, stuff happens. Now you have 2 weeks back to back to play

We had two weeks back-to-back anyway ;)
It's just pushed back a week ... I can't race next weekend though since I am racing in NJ. Such is life.

I'll hit Park City this weekend, Enlishtown the following weekend and the Schuylkill Mall on the 9th :)

It is always usually a high speed course. Paul B.

Keith just laughed when I asked if he wanted to autocross this weekend, so I put the silver Scirocco in the shop to see if they could find any obvious reason for me (and now Keith!) being unable to shift into 3rd or 4th when it's hot.

I have been contemplating bringing the other one out Sunday -- I've been very patiently waiting to break in the new motor, and it's broken in, so I'm ready to play! :D

Don't know if I'm going to feel like making the drive all the way out to Hershey though (was contemplating Park City, but that's a long drive also). Just in case, what time does the PCA event start? Hershey is an great lot!

Grace

PS My prediction came true -- Keith came home from Weatherly telling me I needed to put Shrick cams in the car over the winter

I was planning on going to Park City until I heard about the event at Hershey. The lot at Hershey is one of the best I have ever seen!

The PCA event at Hershey drew about 37 entries and I was out of there by 1pm. Early enough to head down to Park City and sign up for the final (fourth) heat.

Wow, two autocrosses in one day! Great fun!

I thought I recalled you saying you were going to Hershey.

Man, you handed me my butt on the autox course :D
I think you had me by over 2 seconds.

Sorry I missed it! I started feeling guilty about all the stuff I've been putting off, and the fact that I'm planning to autocross the next 5 weekends, which means I won't get it done then either :). I also wasn't up for leaving by 5:30 AM, even for Hershey...

BTW, for the person I was talking to about Warminster at Duryea, Phila region has added a non-points event there on 11/6. They run on the old air strip that is now part of Warminster Community Park.
