I'm doing the last few things to get my Miata legal for it's first event next weekend. Where should I put the extinuisher? I was thinking passenger footwell on the tranny tunnel. I could also do the parcel shelf inbetween and aft of the seats. I think the passenger footwell would be easier for me, rear parcel shelf would be better for course workers. Any ideas/suggestions?

I concur with the pass. footwell placement. That's where it is in the Charger.

PLACEMENT
Always put the extinuisher where you can reach it without takeing the belts off. Ever second counts.

Sounds correct to me. Remember that you must have a METAL mounting bracket for the fire extinguisher.
Re: PLACEMENT
Not sure about your car, but the ONLY place (other than the steering wheel, shift lever, and a small portion of the dashboard and driver's door) that I can reach with my belts on is the seat between my legs.Richard Elliott wrote:Always put the extinuisher where you can reach it without takeing the belts off.
