Question on Weatherly surface ...

I recall, from the Fall, that the road surface of the left lane on the straight prior to turn #3 was really broken up. It sort of surprised me since the way the road was lit, that side of the road was in shadow and the right side in sunlight ... I remember flying into the shadow and feeling a lot of bumps that I did not like (the broken surface).

Is it still that way?

Reportedly, they are patching the worst spots...the course will be driveable.

Reflections of the airplane field at Duryea about 5 years ago are dancing through my head. As chunks of new patches were being pulled up and bouncing under my floorboard.

Anyone remember the tar and chip job they did at Pine Grove the one year. The day before the event!! It sounded like the paint was being blasted off of the car. The "Tar &Chip" Gods also blessed us at Rose Valley the first year I was there. That was another bad weekend for paint.

HI All,

Talking with Joe today he says between turn 2 and 3 was patched in large sections. From the jump to finish was patched. And tomorrow they are doing 2 holes in turn 1.

He says it is in pretty good shape now.
