PHA Officers

Hi everyone,

I just want to let everyone know that Dave Merritt has stepped down as PHA VP and Secretary.  He did an excellent job in both positions and will be missed, and we wish him well in his future endeavors.

Article IV, Section 5 of the PHA Bylaws states that in an instance such as this, the President may appoint someone from the general membership to fill a vacancy.

Eli Sharp has expressed a desire to be the Interim Secretary, and Trevor Filipowicz is willing to be the Interim VP, so that's what's going to happen.  They'll both serve in the position until next year's election.  Both of them have told me they will also stand for election in January. 

Since an elected officer needs to be a region rep or alternate, that will have to be worked out, but it should be easily handled.  Of course, if any of you wish to serve as a PHA Officer, you may stand for election as well! 

Nominations for all 4 officer positions will be accepted at the November 4 meeting, and at our next meeting in January.  Voting will occur at that next meeting.
