A sad note to share with you all. Sue Salsburg's mother passed away yesterday at the age of 93. My memories of her mom begin when I was a corner worker at my first hillclimb in 1981 at Weatherly, and her mom came to see her daughter run the hill. Over the years her mother would show up from time to time at the hillclimbs. My last memory of her mom was last year at Duryea, riding in the backseat of her mom and stepdad's car handing out cookies that her mom had baked for the hillclimb. And let me tell you, this woman made a GREAT chocolate chip cookie!
I will miss this "Hillclimb Mom".
