hkk, I think you may have mised my point.
I do have a 6-point roll bar, but my understanding is that I would need a full roll cage to run in any of your events.
I am questioning the comparison of a roll bar to a roll cage.
My apologies is my last post was not clear.

ahah, bar instead if cage, more like a nhra type cage (main hoop, 2 aft supports, and 2 forward bars from the main hoop to the front of the car, like door bars)
i believe this would be acceptable, if you run the car in scca events and it is apporved im sure it will fly w/ our rules, but to take it one step forward if you would like you can email me a couple of pics and i will run them by our chief of tech to be 100% sure ( he lives right in my town and im there all the time)

Thank you
Pics are here:

(the bars have since been painted and padded).
My friend also races a turbo MR2, but he has the 4-point Autopower Bar which is good for SCCA Solo1.
I do appriecate your efforts.

i spoke to our chief of tech, sounds like your setup should fly no problem, and i think your friends 4 point will be ok as long as his car is pretty much "stock" ( but i will find out about his setup this weekend)

bad news on the 4 point- unless your friends car is just about bone stock the 4 point is no good for our series, he would have to run in unprepared and meet those guidlines
