Many thanks to all who had a hand in what was happening at my car fire. This came about because of an improperly positioned clamp on a fuel line which blew off going into Oh Sh*T on Saturday. Now we have a new one, "Oh Sh*t, I'M ON FIRE!" Anyway. I am fine, car will be OK, just need to replace much of the safety equipment and fuel cell, as well as about 80 wires.
Here is the run where it happened.

Whole incident as it played out unedited:

This just emphasizes what could happen and how fast it can. Practice getting out of your cars and making sure it is in gear and power is off. If I bailed before doing that, I could have easily started rolling or kept more fuel pumping into the fire.
See you at Giants.

Huh...didn't know the GoPro camera was fire-proof.
Glad you kept your wits. Sorry for your misfortune.

Stuff happens. Glad to see you exited quickly and fire out quickly. Fire suit 1, Fire 0. Just think if all you had to wear were long sleeve pants and a shirt?!!! Take your time fixing it and we'll see you racing when your car is ready.
RIP Joe, my friend.
