question on proper foot wear?

Post by ///Mracer »

Are high top shoes required or can you go with mid tops?

Any item which fully covers the foot and is made of an approved fire resistant material (leather included in the case of footwear) is just fine. Just make sure you have nomex socks too.

So a direct answer to your question, either is fine.

If you need that kind of stuff, call around to different racing places. Sometimes they have clearance stuff since they're getting new things in for this year and all. I got nomex gloves for like $20 I think a few years back...

Give Racer Wholesale a call. Ask for Howard Bennett. He is a fellow hillclimber, and gives a Solo1 discount (for the SeDiv, but, I would imagine he would honour that for the NeDiv guys as well...worth the call).

thanks, I will do that. I also got a great deal on my suit at Saferacer - 45% off for their "Deal of the Week".
