If you factor in the "drop two" rule, or only count the best 6 events, the results in CSP will change. I could be wrong.

John with eight events you only drop one!

Five Events or less- None
Six to Eight Events – 1 Drop
Nine to Ten Events – 2 Drops
Eleven or More Events – 3 Drops

How many events do you have to run to qualify for class champion?

Mark you need to run in one more than half. So to answer your question five events.

Thank you for pointing out the errors. When I compiled the list I did it from the computer screen; print cartridge went dry. I forgot about the drop and therefore will review each class. John Pitman has calculated the winner of each class. I will compare my findings with his before ordering trophies.

John CSP will not change.

Dale did not run Spring Jefferson in CSP and Keith did not run Giants so the points are correct as recorded. Each one throws away their no show. Dale ran in ITS at Jefferson hence he got no points for CSP.

Morg, you are right. I am not the official points keeper (nor do I want that job), but tried to give Tom Knorr a hand. Your knowledge and interest in the points sytem is very good. How about taking over as Points Keeper?

John, thanks for your vote of confidence but I believe Nelson has kindly consented and I know he will do an outstanding job for the 2012 season. Plus rumor has it he has a little free time on his hands.

I would like to personally congratulate all of the 2011 class champions for the 2011 season. More importantly I would like to congratulate all of the drivers for an outstanding season. There were many fine runs made by a ton of drivers that did not finish in first place. There were many records broken by people who did not win their class championship. I definitely feel that anyone who participated in our 2011 season were indeed champions in their own way. Congratulations to you all for a job well done. And of course there are the true Champions of Hill climbing, the workers, event organizers, and the towns that we run. Without them our Championships would not be possible. I think I can go on record by saying that we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts and your contributions to the sport are GREATLY APPRECIATED!
