Myrtle Beach speedway/Darlington dragway

Post by mrevilracing »

Well, here is my last run at the speedway. After I clipped the tire(which you can't see because of the easy up in the way-tire mark still on the car!), I thought it best to get off. This track was slick.

Then, out to the drag strip. LOL! As I said before, spin, spin and more spin.

It was awesome to see mustangs all over the place for a whole week. Down the strip at night, it was mustang heaven. Everything you could imagine and a few you couldn't.
RIP Joe, my friend.

Oval track looked like it was a blast. I could of built another car in the time it took that thing to hook up on the strip though!! Still not bad for used up stiff sidewall roadrace tires. One of these days we will have to get all of us togather at the strip (with proper slicks) and have at it.

Come on, tell the truth. It was pretty bad. My Cobalt went 14.0 on the factory tires with 200 miles on it, and I was upset with myself over it.

I don't know if my ego could handle being beaten by a wrong wheel drive

Of course, and bring both. Mike, Hunter's Honda is quick, but you lose your man card if you get beat by it at the dragstrip.

Getting mph'd by an import sucks. I'd imagine you all should beat the civic but not by much. 8) Mustang may be gone soon any way. A guys coming to look at it next week. He has a sled I want and if he brings enough cash with it, it's gone.

The car will be redeemed when I get my buddy's DRs. Not that it needs redeeming anyway.

Oh, we can go Friday before Duryea down to Maple Grove. Grudge night. I will check the schedule to be sure.

Maple Grove Dragstrip is not far from the hill. About 10 miles?

I'm down for that. Anyone else? Let's get some people together for this, some kind of competition or something. I will post it up on racepa.

Ok, so who's going? I'll start a roll call and we'll go. I've emailed George Ackerman so he can chime in on the Maple Grove schedule.

Sounds like me, you and Mark so far. Someone will have to call Dan R. Anyone else want to go?
