I have heard to just fill it out at the first event I attend. Is this correct? Do I need anything prior to the events?
thanks,
Matt

Matt,
You can fill the forms out at the event but, to make life easier for everyone, you should fill them out(If you have a good medical history, no exam is needed, just fill out the medical history part) and send them in to SCCA ahead of time. Remember, your license expires with your membership, meaning if your membership ends before the season starts; don't get a license until after you renew your membership.
It is important that you have your state's drivers license, SCCA membership card, and SCCA Novice license with you at registration. With Solo1's crossover to the Trials program, I believe that you will have a logbook also.

SCCA Solo Forms
Matt,
You can go to http://www.scca.com . The Solo1 license form is under the Solo section of the website under forms as a Pdf file, the medical form is under the Club racing section again under forms as a Pdf.

You may want to wait a week or so. Since the program is undergoing some changes we wouldn't want you to have to go through two sets of paperwork. In a week or two we should have a better idea of what the requirements will be. And that will still give you plenty of time before the first event, which everyone at registration will definitely appreciate.
