Classfication Question
I have a gentleman who drives a 91 Camaro V8 with a Ford rear end. It has a roll bar and is a daily driver. He ran C-Prepared in Solo because of the change in the rear. He wants to start running some hills. Can you give me any suggestions as to where he should run? I have looked and have no idea where he might fit in.

Re: Classfication Question
Hey Morg,
For fear of starting another 4 page rant, StreetMod is legal for the rear swap. Trans, driveshaft, rear are totally open.
Point your friend to that part of the rules to make sure anything else done to car is ok. "rollbar" only is OK for SM also.
Looking forward to seeing your new ride soon!

Re: Classfication Question
Mike,
Are you following the Solo 2 SM class rules? Or are you finding the info somewhere else?

Re: Classfication Question
Kurt,
I am looking at "solo" rule as this is the only place I have been able find StreetMod. I was under the assumpstion this class as well as other solo classes are allowed provided all safety maesures are met. My camaro is StreetMod.
If I am wrong or giving false info, please let me know. I don't want to steer anybody wrong!
Thanks.

Re: Classfication Question
I am 100 percent behind you on the that Kurt. I would be willing to volunteer on a group that covers GCR classes of GT, Production and IT. May be I could streach myself into Super Production.
Maybe we could make some sort of compitition out of it. Have somebody post their modifications and we try to claim them in our group. Okay, maybe that won't work but I'm a big supporter of having people specialize in areas that they are familiar with.
Good idea people

I am a magician... my post and Mike's answer has magically moved to "Time Trials Classing"

Re: Classfication Question
Never mind. I must have been in the middle of making my post when Matt did the split.
I'll wait and see if my comments are worth moving over.

Re: Classfication Question
Again......
Morg, what pole, bait and tackle are you using here? Is this ice, fresh or salt? Or is there a large or small net? Maybe a spear or a bow? Better yet, throw in a 1/4 stick and see what floats..........
Tech = classing

Re: Classfication Question
No pole bait or tackle. Kurt asked me to make the post because he had a guy that did not know where he fit in.

Re: Classfication Question
Ok, well. In the Solo rules, 16.1.D covers engines, trannys, drivetrain, etc. Mike is correct above in his reply.
RIP Joe, my friend.
