As Rich stated, this class was so big, in PHA it was split into three groups back in the day: Porsche, TR3 & MGB......since it was one of the biggest classes I'm going to run top 10 here! 1958 - present time.

So how do we score it? Three first places per event in the old days?

yup...I counted all three (or two sometimes) E Classes....EP was not the only class to be split. On certain occasions...FP, GP, DP and even BP were split into two. E was the only one to split 3 ways.

I don't have results sheets before 1968, there is a gap in the late 1970's up to 1985 and when we get up past 2000 I didn't print everything since it was on line. It was tabulated by hand. It should go something like this:Jim Seiple, David Miller, Gary Sullivan,
Walter Urban, Dick Sweigert, Jim Sariano, Dick Gardner, Fred Heistand, Vince Hock, Paul Sweigert, and Lloyd Geib. I had a total of fifty different class winners. I show Lloyd winning his class 29 times. Much of the time he was running against extremely stiff competition and he was occasionally fastest of all the EP cars.

About '63 there was a gent named Gale Patton who campaigned a Porsche Speedster successfully. Also maybe in E prod was a Morgan +4 (The Torking Dog) driven by Harry Reynolds. That was waayy back.

Thanks, Ron. I take a few days off the forums to do some real work or try to do real work and you hit me with EP.

Tuesday, Foreman gets F550 stuck in mud. Foreman tries to pull F550 out of mud with chain tied off to the tie rod. Foreman wonders why the right wheel is turning right and left wheel is turning left after tie rod breaks in half. Sometimes, you just can not teach STUPID!
Hopefully, I have the right numbers this weekend for either Mega or Powerball.

Ep was a great class with some the best drivers. To finish, first in EP was a remarkable feat on any given hillclimb Saturday or Sunday.
I had fun, growing up and watching all of this with my parents in the middle.

We have a tie at #6.........with at least 18 EP wins. Fred Heistand and that very same Alfa Duetto. You've probably noticed that Fred was very succesful in mutiple classes over his hill climbing career.
