Sorry folks....I've been a bit distracted and apologize for my lack of posting of historic goodies! I hope to get back on track here...and release a 2009 yearbook shortly!
Anyway...picking up from this post

#8 on the list is John Bolton....FTDing with his Corvette and later with the Corvette powered Devin...the Blue Goose!

Listed as a Cooper-Chevy. I believe this car is the same as Craig Smith's...which in turn could be Oscar's old car, or at least part of it.

Yes, Jake's car is a Cooper-Chevy and it is Craig Smith's old car. Some these cars are also known as King Cobras, Shelby modified a few with 289 Ford V-8s for the USRRC championship with the late Bob Holbert and the late Dave McDonald doing the driving. Last time, I talked to Jake was at Pocono, he had sold the car and was driving a Argo w/c Super Vee.

In 1971 Craig Smith is listed as running a King Cobra as well....

John Habling...he mainly concentrated his efforts at Giant's Despair but he did nab some FTD's at Weatherly and Montage

I have this next driver at 7, so far....I believe there may be a few more to be noted (as soon as all results are found)...

Next on the list at 6 FTD's is John Meyer. John's primary focus was on Giant's Despair. Who knows what kind of numbers he would have had, if he ran the entire PHA series!

Alright...here we go with one of my favs! Bill Rutan stunned the PHA when he arrived on the scene with his "Bathtub Special". Under that cancas was/is a Porsche quad cam engine....vrooooom!
