Don't have much detail on this one at the moment. If I had to guess...it looks like Fleetwood?!? I will have to go through the incident reports from the events and see what I can dig up...once I unpack them!!

Lucky is an understatement. Ironically, perhaps the best thing that could have happened to me!
I learned the hard, costly way, that... SLOWER and SAFER is SMOOTHER and FASTER.
Also, never go for a record on your first run...doh!

Call me crazy Ursula but judging by the '01 stamped on the bottom of the pic I would say it was from June 18 2001  . I remember it well. Darryl either slid wide or got too close to the guide cable at the exit of turn 5.

Ok...this is an interesting photo. This is the Saab special of Myron Munchak that was wrecked at the 1965 Weatherly event. The car was later bought by Joe Christ and made into the Brand X sports racer that Chuck brings out now and then.

I was afraid this was going to come up. Thanks for the memories. :) I forgot to mention, that I had a new rad built and airfreighted, body sort of repaired and and ran and won at The Blueridge Hillclimb two weeks later.
