Gas tank clean/coat

Post by geowit »

Is there any one in the Reading area that cleans and reseals gas tanks? The car we brought back from Fla. has some nasty brown gunk in it. :D
Thanks,
Geo.

George,
Try Jim Ozwald. Call him during business hours at Eagle Radiator. I think he use to clean them.

If you want to seal it, go to Eastwood (they have a store in Pottstown). They have a sealing kit and also instructions on what to purchase if you want to clean and prep the tank yourself. Follow the instructions exactly. Do not skip a step! If anyone tells you the coating came off, it was probably because they took a short cut.
