Re: Weatherly Big Air Club....
Ursula could be on to something...both Moorehead and Silvers ran #53 Datsun and or Nissan. Silvers in mid 80's and Moorehead early 90's. I think this is early 90's photo...Ursula would know, she took it!
Joe may be able to really confirm this...he ran ITC in the early 90's.

Re: Weatherly Big Air Club....
A 310 Ron??? I should have known. Do you ever have anything "Normal"? Look at that list!
The only thing even close to normal is a Jetta and you had to make it a Station Wagon? (okay the Rabbit is somewhat normal)
I hope you don't think I'm busting your thread, I'm busting on you

Re: Weatherly Big Air Club....
Steve MOorehead is definitely the blue/white 210. The pink/yellow is a 510 for sure. I do that much about Datsuns. I'm sure the 510 is Mr. Silvers.

Re: Weatherly Big Air Club....
Thor,
I wished that I had the Stang along with the 66 911, 61 Healey 3000, 59 MGA, 59 Chevy Bel-Air Convt., 57 Chevy Bel-Air Convt, Jaguar XK140 drophead coupe, MG TD, Healey 100-4, a couple of 356B coupes, 63 Vw panel truck, 68 Ghia, and at least 3 Squarebacks.
Granny,
I thought the 210 was Moorehead's car. We figured out Halbing had Con's car for a couple of seasons. I was pretty sure that the Con car hit the rock, but your Dad was the man at the jump. Maybe the Freeland Schumacher can shed some light on the subject. BTW, seasons were short back then with only 3 or 4 events, we should feel lucky and thankful to have a full schedule of 9 events. As far as me at the jump, good driving equals low air and quick times.
Sorry, Ron. Back to the jump.
Rich

Re: Weatherly Big Air Club....
Looks like we got this worked out...thanks for helping with an ID! I will re-file the pile of Moorehead photos in the proper place now!!
Dave...find me a nice '80 310!! I've been looking!! The Rabbit I have...may sound normal but it is a 4 door, Automatic, power steering and AC!? It got a 3rd junior at the 2008 AACA fall national in Hershey last year.
ok...let's see more air pixs!
Let's keep the Datsun feeling...Todd Walrich and his 4 door 510!

Re: Weatherly Big Air Club....
I have one of Todd with more air than that. Not sure where it is though. I had gotten a copy of it blown up and sent it to him. It has about the same amount of sick air that Jim Oswald had in that one I gave you.

I second that George!
This is one of the things I really like about this forum, the rest is becoming very boring.
Keep up the good work Ron!

Re: Weatherly Big Air Club....
sorry guys....I've had gotten a few emails here at work to get back on here ASAP!!! I've been in the process of moving, just got the home computer back on line on Monday and with taking a few days off, I've been crushed here at work.
The move is pretty much complete...next step unpack and organize.
Still having an issue getting pixs to upload...
