It took six years to get approval for the complex from the Union Township zoning hearing board. Opponents plan to appeal the decision.

Mascaro (the owner) expects to start racetrack construction in spring 2009.

All this according to the article in today's Pottstown Mercury

It states the SCCA is going to oversee track operations?

Eh? Does that mean they are only going to hold SCCA events and require SCCA membership to use the track? I suppose the track needs to be built first regardless heh...

just saw on readingeagle that they are going back to court on this i guess the county wants to still fight it so we will have to wait and see
