Mike Sarzynski has passed...
Michael T. "Mike" Sarzynski, 42, a racer and member of Blue Mtn. Region, passed away July 8, 2007. He will be remembered by many of us as a driver of fast cars- Vovos, to be sure- who set several records on the hills... Friends may call Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home in West Reading, PA. Services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Our condolences to his wife, Vicky, his daughter, Melissa, and his relatives.

Mike
My favorite Sarzynski story was the time he rolled Bob Alspach's pickup in Beaver Meadows on his way to the motel from Weatherly.
I asked Mike after the accident why they were not wearing their seatbelts.
Mike's reply, We normally drive Volvos and they are the safest cars on the planet and seatbelts are not needed!

Hi all,
Yes this is very sad news. Mike hasn't been around too much and I seem to run into him at the Weatherly Hill Climbs all the time. He was indeed a great guy and I will miss talking to him about wrenchin on cars. We will all miss that lighting fast Volvo of his!! Great driver, great guy!
My best wishes to the family and very sorry for your loss.
