Polish Mtn & The Western MD Scenic RR

Post by Sue Salsburg »

David & I are steam train nuts, so we're going early to Polish Mtn & take the steam excursion on Friday(10:30AM). Dave Williams has hooked us up with the RR's chief mechanic to take a tour of the locomotive workshops. If anyone else is interested in the train ride and/or tour, please let me know - they can only handle a small group for the tour.

The link to the Western Maryland Scenic RR doesn't work from the Polish Mtn web site. Try http://www.wmsr.com

Stan - if you seriously want to ride the steam train, you should go to tbeir web site soon & make a reservation. Very popular in the summer.

Oooops :) Our link points at the Canal Place web site, which will get you there eventually, but I'll get it fixed and pointed at http://www.wmsr.com directly. If you're interested in seeing all the cool stuff to do in and around Cumberland, visit http://www.mdmountainside.com - the "mother site" for all the others mentioned here.
