Re: LATE braking
If you're talking about crash pics of Jeff's car, NO. No clue if anyone took any. What a shame really.
RIP Joe, my friend.

Re: LATE braking
Hey Steve, remember the bind I was telling you about when you run the panhard with the 4-link? That picture shows it all, my car did the exact same thing.

Re: LATE braking
Yep. By spring, that 4 link will be gone and a torque arm and springs will be on. Maybe that's why I had so much trouble exiting 3. Not to mention, whatever was seeping out of the road there. Anyone know if that was water, on Sunday, or was it something else? It looked dark. All I know is, I was spinning like crazy coming out of that turn.
RIP Joe, my friend.

Re: LATE braking
I was told that a truck dumped/leaked some hot tar there...it was dark and undoubtably slippery.

Re: LATE braking
Hmm, 1 more nail in the coffin for Weatherly I think. I seriously hope they pave that road. Or at least tear up and repave between 2 and 3 and the jump to the finish. Not to mention, get the tar off that hill.
RIP Joe, my friend.

Re: LATE braking
Nice idea but the naturally occurring tarpit at The Wall is protected by the Forestry Preserve, kinda like Old Faithful. Best just to drive around it or straight through it, to give the tires a fresh coat of stick.
OK so I confess I made the same stupid joke on Sunday. No-one laughed then, either.

Re: LATE braking
I like the joke, Tim. Hehe. Very nice.
Since I went off on a tangent about repaving....is there someone that will keep us up to date on this or should I start a different thread with my complaints about the course? YES, I like it. Do I think it's becoming unsafe?? Absolutely.
