Tire allowances for CSP?

Post by AStaidle »

It states they they are the same for Stock except the list of disallowed tires is different, but it doesnt list anything. so i checked stock rules and it says i have to use OE tires??? but i can use any wheel diameter and tires size in the CSP....

You may use any DOT approved tire. As wide and as big as you please, just a DOT rating not racing slicks. Be familiar with the extent of body modifications allowed in Street Prepared. Hoosier Autocrossers are the stickiest. Good on hills but too soft for Track events. Lots of other choices for dual purpose. Call Joe at CJ tire.

The exemption rule goes back when Hoosiers weren't allowed. They took that out a few years ago but left the statement in in case they ran into something else to disallow.
