JOHN CHAMPION IS GONE...

Post by Joe Foering »

John Champion, a racer, my friend and neighbor, has passed... He was found this morning in his home having died sometime Sunday. It is believed that he died of congestive heart failure. I will keep you all posted as to any viewing or other details.

:(

Very sorry to hear the news.
I hope he is on the best run he's ever had, headed uphill.

HI all,

What a great guy all around! John and I talked quite a bit down at Blue Ridge Hill Climb this past year. He was a diehard hill climber and he did it well. I will always remember that daring ride through the elbow at Giants’ this year when he was on 2 wheels.

I'm very sorry to hear this and my deepest sympathy to the family and Joe F. I know he was a dear friend.
Regards,

Tim Royer

You will be missed John. :(
I will never forget seeing that 2 wheeled assault on the elbow........bravest thing I've ever seen in an automobile.

 This is so sad! John was a really nice guy. I didn't know him well but Crys was telling me stories. Prayers for his family and for you Joe, it's always as hard to lose friends as it is family. Especially since friends are sometimes closer than family.

Sincere condolances to his family. John was a great guy and will be sorely missed. John and I were pitted beside each other at VIR in October and had a wonderful time.

Just saw the post. Our prayers for the family.

Joe,

Are there any relatives that would be interested in pictures of John? I'm more than willing to look through my pictures of 2003-2006 and send a CD of everything that I have taken of John. Let me know. I'll have to look up his number but I believe he is in a red chevette or something like that.
