Safety Rule Recommendation: Speed Limiters

I am shocked at some of the speeds some drivers can obtain on the hill climbs. Is all that speed really safe?

Would it be possible to mandate speed limiters on the cars?

If we limited everyone to 55 mph, it would keep us a lot safer and the competition would even much closer! For those that think 55 mph is too slow, please give us reasons as to why. Also, suggest what speed limit you think is appropriate, but make sure you can back it up. Make sure you have a reason.

Remember, 55 mph is still 11 times faster than the posted speed limit for turn 3 at Weatherly.

I would hate to see the entire series lost because someone crashed and died at "big speed" and their family sued. Oh, and I would not like to see them hurt either.
