Post by wildhorsesracing »

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Snowshoe Hillclimb on July 21-23, 2006. We are expecting tremendous turnout and have added a 1 day Car Show on Saturday for those of you who want to come join the fun but don't feel ready to scream up the mountain roads at adrenaline pumping speeds!

This year we are limiting the number of entries to make sure we have a fun and safe event, we are expecting a wonderful turnout for all facets of the event.

Here is a short synapsis of the schedule:
Friday
5-9pm Racecar/Show car display in downtown Snowshoe

Saturday
8a-5p Racing up the mountain / Car show in Downtown Snowshoe
6pm Snowshoe Hillclimb Banquet with Awards and Sponsor Raffle
9pm "Drive In Movie" Downtown Snowshoe

Sunday
8a-4p Racing up the mountain
4:30p Awards ceremony for the Racers/Spectators

Snowshoe Mountain resort has an indoor water park, mountain biking, hiking, chair lifts, and many, many fine dining and shopping adventures for the whole family, not to mention that the view from the Paddock is breath taking!

Go to http://www.SnowshoeHillclimb.com for details about registering, hotels and directions. See you all on the Mountain!

Has signed up as a sponsor for the 2006 Snowshoe Hillclimb.

We are limiting entries to 60 cars in the Hillclimb to give everyone plenty of runs up the hill 8)

The Car Show will still be an unlimited # of entries. 8)

Wildhorses,

Is there any reason the hillclimb was moved to this date instead of early Sept? Will it be run in late summer or fall again?

All,

I was in Snowshow for RallyWV last weekend and the roads around there are insane! You could put on a different hillcimb each weekend all year long in that area. Also, for all those trailering there, have your brakes in check. The roads getting there are nothing to sneeze at. There are more hairpins on highway 250 VA/WV then on the whole PHA schedule ;)

If you can go, you must! I sure wish I could.

I will have flyers and cards for the SnowShoe Hillclimb at Giants this weekend (Tim, is this OK?). Come on over to the CoolShirt GT1 Camaro this weekend for info about SnowShoe, as well as the BlueRidge Hillclimb (NC).

Brandon,
It was moved to mid summer as it was a better weekend for our schedule and Snowshoe Mountain Resorts. It will be this same weekend from now on and you are correct, the roads are insane in WV, and a blast to climb! 8)
