Thanks Nelson.

I see 3 days marked off for Giant's.
Will Friday be part of celebratory activites or
is the intent to have a 3rd day of racing to accomodate a big field?

Thanks again,

HI all,

Giants will be having other events that whole week before. Things like car shows, carnivals, and concerts, ECT. , Details to follow soon after January.

So far the plan is Friday morning till noon will be registration. Then touring will be from 1pm to 5pm?? This leaves Saturday and Sunday all day open for timed runs. The field will be limited to 100 cars only. I have had a few people already that have asked to run Giants this year. I believe there will be many many more popping up as the date gets closer. To address this problem this is what will happen. My concern is PHA series drivers that wish to race get in. So entries for drivers that have run Giants in the past 2 years and drivers that have run at least 2 events before Giants in 2006 will be sent entries before the mass mailing. Make sure you mail it back before the date due on the entry so your spot is held. After our series members are registered then it will be open to first come up to 100 entries.

This event will have no 2 cars per driver entries till after the first mailing entries are received. (sorry Mike A.) 2 driver cars will be aloud.

2 Questions if I may.

Being a rookie, what is the best way to get an invite?
Run two of the prev hills during the season?

Why is Giants so popular? Is it the hill itself or is it its convenient location?

HI,

This year is the 100th year anniversary of Giants Despair. It will be getting National attention this year and that means there will be a ton people that want to go down in history as racing in this event.

We have 3 events before Giants, Spring Jefferson on Memorial weekend which is in WV it is a track event and is the best venue to shake your car down. Then Spring Weatherly in Weatherly, Pa and Pagoda which is in Reading, Pa. As it stands now you would need to run 2 of the 3 events to get on the first mailing of entries. The second mailing would be first come first serve.

Any other questions or comments post here I will address them.

A casual visitor mentioned that there is no 2006 schedule posted under the SCHEDULE-EVENTS button on the homepage. While it is of course posted here (and I directed him that way), might it also be put in that area?
