PHA Banquet

Post by Nelson »

I started this poll to get an idea of some preferences for the PHA banquet.

Basically, do you want a sit down dinner as in the past with a choice of 2 entrees (chicken or prime rib) with the trimmings

or

A buffet with three entrees plus the trimmings.

I need this in the next 2 weeks.

HI all,

I think a buffet style would be best only because it would be cheaper. Cost does keep people away.

My 2 cents :D

MY understanding is that it will be $35 per person regardless of the manner of food presentation. I personally like the current format which is a sit-down dinner.

Do you guys ever consider that women, who usually prepare meals, like to be waited on? Buffets are fine for casual meals like hillclimb parties, but I for one like to feel that the end of year banquet is a special event.

I hope the banquet committee takes this into consideration.

I voted, for sit-down. It's entirely appropriate for our annual meeting. And, BTW, there is no NAPA meeting this year so I get to come!

You have been warned.

Hi all,

Well as my post said my choice would have been for the cheaper buffet style. So being that the cost is the same of course I would like to change my vote to sit down. I guess the cost is the same because the buffet style has more food choices???

Yes, gas prices are rising, along with a lot of other things. BUT, we do spend our loose change on Cam2 or Klotz fuel, racing tires, and a variety of other things that make our sport thrive. So, it is time for the banquet. Call me a snob, whatever, but if I pay for a meal, I prefer to be served. Besides it is a nicer treat for the ladies who tolerate our craziness all season, as well as those ladies who drive, change tires, and assist in every possible way. If we are going to party, let's do it right.
