Newspaper column on Duryea

Post by JekylandHyde »

I am writing my August column for the Eagle on the Duryea Hill Climb.
This will be in the Sunday paper the weekend prior to the event (14th) and I am inviting the readers to come out to spectate.

I just want to make sure I have some facts straight:

1. What # annual running of Duryea is this?
The ___ annual running of Duryea Hill Climb"

2. Anyone know what the posted speed limit on the hill is?

3. How many locations are there to spectate from?

Is there any information that anyone would like me to include in my column? (no promises that it will actually get in).

Thank you,

I believe (if I counted right) that it is # 55.

25 MPH

Start line & turn 1, turn 3, turn 7-8 and finish line at the tower
Look like 4.

Thanks Nelson.

Instead of the annual number, do we have the year of the first Duryea climb? Was it 1951?

Thanks for the reference to World Rally Championship in the column. But as one who has driven both (Hillclimbs and stage rallies) I can personally tell you that the difference is like riding a pony ride at the fair and riding horses to manage cattle in the wild west

lol ... that is why I used the term "my naive mind"

You can read the column for the next week here:

I will have it uploaded onto my Site after that.
