2023 Spring Jefferson

Post by Rich Rock »

Registration is scheduled to open on MotorsportReg.com at 4pm today.

This event has seen an increase in track rental fee of more than $3,600 over last year, but BMR has raised the entry fee only $15, and is hoping for a VERY GOOD turnout. In fact, the future of this event may very well be determined by how many people enter this year. Thank you for your support :-)

Registration for Spring Jefferson Dash is open.  This event is scheduled for May 27-28, 2023, and will be held on the Jefferson Circuit at Summit Point Motorsports Park in West Virginia.

Registration links and the Event Info sheet can be found on the Current Schedule page on the PHA website:

https://pahillclimb.org/schedule-results/

In addition to cars running in the regular PHA classes (see Rules page -- https://pahillclimb.org/rules/), cars running in the Time Trial National classes are invited to participate in this event.  Note that Summit Point Motorsports Park does not allow EVs or EV Hybrids.

The format for this event is a Time Attack, with "pods" of 3 cars on the track at once for 2 timed laps each.  Passing is not allowed.

The 2023 Spring Jefferson Dash event is only a few weeks away.

In case this is the first time you are hearing about this event, it is an SCCA Time Attack that will be held at Summit Point Motorsports Park in WV over Memorial Day weekend – May 27-28, 2023. This event is organized by Blue Mountain Region and is the first event of the Pennsylvania Hillclimb (PHA) championship series.

The Early Entry Fee is $260, and ends May 14. If you register between May 15 and May 23, the cost is $285, and after May 23 it's $310. If you are planning to go, you should register soon and save some money!

In addition to cars running in the regular PHA classes, cars running in the Time Trial National classes are invited to participate in this event. Note that Summit Point Motorsports Park does not allow Electric Vehicles or EV Hybrids to compete on track.

We will be running the long course at Jefferson in the counter clockwise direction. The format for this event is a Time Attack, with appropriately spaced groups of 3 cars on the track at once for 2 timed laps each. Passing is not allowed.

The track will be open around 6 PM on Fri night, and camping is allowed Fri and Sat night. Most of us camp, but there are plenty of hotels nearby in either Charlestown or Winchester.

Registration is open on MotorsportReg: https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/20 ... ain-912316

See the PHA website for more information on rules: https://pahillclimb.org/

And also the SCCA website for more information on the SCCA National Rules: https://timetrials.scca.com/

I hope you can make it!
