For those of you not at the PHA meeting last weekend, John Felten had a heart attack last week, and underwent triple-bypass surgery. (If you don't know who John is, he's the event organizer and much more for Polish Mountain Hillclimb, and also the PHA Region Rep for the newly formed Western MD Chapter of the DC Region. )
Rich Rock talked to John on Tuesday and said he sounded great. John told Rich that he felt pretty damn good, and also that he may be released in a few days. John had nothing but good things to say about the care he's received. He also said that he feels lucky to be alive, and that he survived what is often referred to as a "widow-maker".
John's doctor told him that he could be back to normal in about 3 months, and John said he looks forward to Polish Mountain 2022. I'm sure we all look forward to seeing him there as well!
