What license will be accepted for Duryea Hillclimb?

Post by rallynutdon »

Last year my sons ran Duryea's rally class under SCCA pro rally licences. I also ran 5 years ago the same way. I'd like to run Duryea this year and have my SCCA membership, but of course there's no such thing as an SCCA rally license. I have a NASA and Rally America rally license. What will be accepted? Thanks.

Don,

No provision has been made by national to accept a Rally America license, or NASA. The good news is that the Time Trials Novice licensing is basically painless. A simple one page form and a $35 dollar fee will give you a Novice permit good for any hillclimb in the Northeast (other divisions might restrict Novice license holders on hills) Since it has been 5 years since you have driven the hill you would be required to go through the Novice orientation anyway just to make sure you're familiar with the course and procedures.

The form can be downloaded from the SCCA
.
