I made to the Pagoda hillclimb on Sat. and had a good time like usual watching everyone on the hill. Hope everyone had a safe day as I left around 2:30 for a family event.
I took about 180 pictures and posted most of them at http://www.enter.net/~tdu/Places/Hillclimb/index.html. Like Weatherly, this was my third year here so I tried a few different techniques to get sharper pictures. Beginning with http://www.enter.net/~tdu/Places/Hillcl ... 56164.html I tried tilting the camera but I think I over did it. That is, it makes the hill look steeper than it really is but then the background (trees) sometimes look odd as they lean over. I'd be interested in what you think.

Awesome pics as always Tim! You need to stop by my pit sometime so I can at least give you a soda or water or something. I really appreciate taking such great shots and sharing them.
As for tilting the camera, I like the perspective. I tried it at Nazareth a few years ago:

(pardon the bad scan ~ it was a film photo, not digital)
I definitely think it can add to the shot and it is hard to tell how far is too far. I have a tendency to want to point the car from corner-to-corner of the viewfinder which is what I think gives it the really steep angle ... but it felt more natural to line it up that way.
Anyway, I think yours are great.

I like the level ones. I don't think my car can get up the hill when you tilt the camera!

Hey everyone,
I took a couple of photos while at Pagoda this weekend. Sorry, I didn't get everyone. I wanted to do some spectating as well.
You should be able to access the link for the Pagoda photo album. I tried for access to upload to the PHA album, but was unable to post them there.
Let me know if you have any problems with the links and enjoy, those of you I was able to capture.
