Autocross Anyone?

BMR is planning an autocross for March 11 at the old Morgantown Outlet Mall in Morgantown , Pa. Details still being worked out, stay tuned.

Nope, outdoors. A second autocross is planned for March 25.

The April 1 autocross has been cancelled, but we have replaced it with an autocross on March 25. So, March 11 and March 25 are the dates.

Can you get me an address or directions for the mall?
I have a few inquiries as I put it up in NEPA's Yahoo discussion group and our Facebook page for you.
Either that or update the BMR page and I will out the link up.

The BMR website has been updated. Www.bmr-scca.org Directions are not on the site at this time.
The mall address is 6180 Morgantown Road Morgantown PA. It's right off the Morgantown exit of the PA Turnpike, next to the MacDonalds

Hi Rich.

Hoping to make it down on Sunday but still trying to finish up engine in Subaru. BMW backup car is still running bad (need a BMW mechanic). If I can't find something to drive, i may still pop down in case you need any help as i probably don't want to race the Jeep Liberty.

Nice weather for March 11, 70 entries, the event went pretty smooth, a number of hillclimbers were there, FTD and fastest PAX time both won by Richard Good in his 70's vintage Triumph TR-6!!

Off hand I can think of Kendrick G. for taking on the responsibility of organizing the event, Rich, Nelson, Nancy and Steve, Jim and Tammy, et al.

The last autocross I'd been to was circa 1983 at K.U., also the first one I ran. Seems I forgot a few things about the game in the intervening 28 years. Special thanks to Rich Rock for riding shotgun and pointing me around.

This Sunday March 25 BMR will have another autocross at Morgantown Outlet Mall. Registration opens at 8am, first car off 10am. $30 for SCCA members $40 for non-members. Come on out and "shake off some rust".

BMR....... MIGHT .....cancel the autocross if the weather look to be lousy. A decision will be made on Saturday afternoon and posted on the SOLO page of the BMR website. I'll make a posting here too.

The autocross is ON! Weatherman says 50% chance of scattered showers, but since it almost never rains in Morgantown our chances look good. See ya there!

Not one drop of rain! 32 entries, 6 runs and we were done and all packed up before 3pm. FTD and PAX won by event chair Kendrick G with a 61.1. Second overall was Jason Ackerman with a 61.2. Nelson has the complete results ready to post, they should be on the BMR website soon.
