I am no expert in classing cars, so I will let that pass. I am, however, mightily curious about your previous racing experience. No need to answer here, I hope to ask you in person at the event. Duryea Drive can be hair raising, and oft turns a beautiful car into a ball of foil. Never the less, BE THERE, we look forward to seeing you and your car. If you are new to the game, try to schedule the PHA Time Trial at Jefferson over the Labor Day weekend. Running 3 laps at a time, on a track with at least a little run off area, is a great place to learn what the beast will do when it is angry,
See you at Duryea.
See you at Duryea.

WOW, car looks great! Can't wait to see and here it in person. To answer your question, yes you would be in special 2 or 3. Not sure on the cubic inch break between the two. The entry form has that info on it somewhere towards the back.
Goodluck!

It will be great to see you out. I saw that you knew the guys from DSG when they were making the restrictor.
You can run special or actually ITE would be allowed.I'd stick with special. I kno that with Bill and Alex showing up and the usual PHA fast guys that special is going to be fun!

Can't run ITE. Biggest motor is 2.5l turbo charged. He's got more than that.jerdeitzel wrote:It will be great to see you out. I saw that you knew the guys from DSG when they were making the restrictor.

Hunter, I'm not sure where you are getting your info? I actaully helped write the rules for ITE. I will take a stab to say that this car could run NASA TTU or ST1,which means that ITE would be fine.

It was built for ST1 all the car needs is the Dyno graphs to show its power and its st1 legal

Looks like I am wrong. I read that somewhere on the SCCA website a couple of weeks ago and thought it was weird. I guess maybe they could be limiting it in another region?jerdeitzel wrote:

Yeah, AIX (practically unlimited NASA pony car class) runs in ITE, so I think the RX7 would be OK there. I have to ask, why not Polish Mountain? A great opportunity to work the bugs out before Duryea, and a fun hill (I own a guardrail there).

Re: Hey eveyone new to hill climbs 1988 RX7 GN 3.8.....
Polish Mt is the best test hill in America because of the loop system and the unusually large number of runs. Those facts along with a hill that offers both slow and fast corners, and a smooth road, make it just what the car developer ordered. Better be there.

Glad to have you on board. Hope you can be at the Fire Tower for tech and registration on Friday evening. That will give time to make changes if any details are missed. I think someone would be glad to step up as mentor to help walk you thru it. All you need to do is ask for help and we will jump in to get it done.
Good Luck,
see you at the hill,
