Hi, this is Dave Sekella.
My older son, Will's older brother, Jim has run into some health problems. He has high blood pressure which resulted in total kidney failure. Now he is on dialysis and the kidney transplant list.
Jim is laid off and had no health insurance. Now he has insurance, but it is not going to address the enormous cost of two weeks in the hospital.
Some of Jim's friends have organized a benefit evening to help pay some of the bills. Saturday, January 15th you are all invited to: The Brass Lantern Tavern, 1350 N. 12th St., Reading, PA 19604. We will start around 6:00pm and continue to closing. Food, beer and soda will be provided as well as live music. All of this for a paltry $15.00 per head. Follow this link to The Brass Lantern's Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Brass-Lan ... 9728133141 and to the organizers website http://www.plusvibes.com/
As of now, six of the best local bands have volunteered their services to entertain the crowd. Most play Accoustic Rock, but there may be a smatering of other genres.
A number of door prizes have been donated by local businesses and will be available for bid.
So please join us for an evening out and lend a hand to a former BMR member who needs a hand. I hope to see you there.
If you can't make it, but would like to help, please send donations to Jim Sekella, C/O Susquehanna Motorsports, 2 E. Locust St., Fleetwood, PA, 19522
Thanks for listening,
Dave
