question on safety gear needed for a Track Trial (Jefferson)

Post by M.Williams »

Quick qestion, can a vehicle run Jefferson with NO rollbar / harnesses because it is a "track trial" and not a hil climb? I sold my 95 M3 racecar and just have a street car now. I have always had a vehicle that had a roll bar or cage and never looked into the "track trial" requirements.

Thanks,
Matt

roll bar/cage needed, depending on class.
I suggest taking some time and reading the rules. you don't want to show up and not be able to run.
my thoughts

That's for a level 3 Trials. I think the DC Region is holding a level 2 which does not require a roll bar, 5 point harness or SNELL SA helmet.
