Here's a car I saw at the dyno guys' place:

Anyone have any info on these cars? I understand there are only 4 in the US and were only 100 of this model made in '69. Is that correct?

Steve,

Thought I recognized the name from reading too many kit car magazines, but am entirely unfamiliar with this model. A quick search turned up this info though. Looks like the logical next step for a confirmed ford guy such as yerself!

Any idea if the chief engineer mentioned in the article is the same Mark Donohue that most of us know and love? It has to be. He first drove a Ford Mark 2 for John Holman in 1966 I think. So there is great chance it is the same Donohue. Great find Steve!!!

Yes, that is the same Mark Donohue of Hazleton, PA that was the engineer. The story goes that Jack Griffith took the engine out of Mark's AC Cobra and tried to stick it in his own TVR while he was working on Mark's car. Mark later helped Jack do some of the engineering on his later Griffith cars before teaming up with Roger Penske.
