1974 AAR Gurney Eagle for sale

Post by Steve Tumolo »

I came across a 1974 AAR Gurney Eagle Turbo Offy Indy Car for sale on E-Bay Item # 4521700603 . Who ever has it seems to have alot of info about it and might have a link to spare parts. So if you are reading this Timmer there might be some helpful info for the Danko's car.

HI,

Well Rick if you can get it under $100K it would be a great deal. They have all the history on it and it's a rebuilt motor, looks complete. I don't know what the reserve is I would imagine that it's around $50K though. What a machine!!

Tim,
I'm gonna keep an eye on it. By the way, We have 5 cars this year in the Proline livery. I'm up for a team if you are. Let me know the next step.

Thanks, Rick

Oh,

We are also doing a team this year. I think that you still only have to talk to Rick Kase at the first event and $75 to get in on it. 5 team members each in a different class.

As far as I know I have never seen a CFC class in our events. But I think the Sparton would fit pretty nicely in one of the special classes. It could even be a contender for some records in Special. I am not sure if it would be Special 1,2,or 3. I never looked at how they break up the groups.

Yuo know what Steve?

That's not a bad idea......I do have a manifold and 4 barrel carb set up in case I wanted to do something wild. I'll look into it!
