Tom Knorr's pulling your chain and I'll lay claim to the idea of the high front hoop discount only.

Well, I guess I'm silly too. The whole thing about discounts for cages with high front hoops is a hoax. The idea may have some merit, but it's not likely to happen.

The idea behind the thing was to try to get a rise out of a couple people. Well, actually, just one person. It didn't work out the way I thought it would.

Sorry 'bout that,

How about negotiating with our insurance representative on a 'safe driver' discount if we can run a certain amount of events mishap-free.

Or what if we all go back and take Drivers Ed (Sears or whatever) and relearn parallel parking and to be generally overcautious. Or get straight A's...

so I guess I can cut off the high front hoop I just welded in to save money, well the weight saving sould make me faster, plus less drag.

Time to clear up the thing about offering a one day entry at a reduced rate (the Morgan Wilson Special). BMR is MAYBE doing it for Pagoda, most likely won't do it for Duryea. I do believe that NEPA plans to offer a one-day at Weatherly.

How can you disallow low front hoops for Formula Cars when SCCA says thats all we need. Also there are formula cars out there like Tammy's and Bob Jr's that have the extended roll hoop braces that give them protection. Not to beat a Dead Horse but maybe we should be l;ike drag racing. In drags if you go faster than I believe it's ten seconds you need a cage, in hills if your in the top ten percent for three events then you need a cage regardless of what class your in.
