Like I said before. Ill handling vehicles, bad driving lines not to mention lack of saftey gear.
Wait a minute! This could get interesting. Take away the horsepwer advantage of some cars and rely on handling and braking. BRING IT ON!
About 30 yeras ago, I entered a down hill bicycle race starting at the Fire Tower on Skyline Drive. You could not pedal! It was a coaster race for distance. Out of about 100 entries only two made it up hill past the airplane field and continued down the rest of Duryea.

Re: We should race DOWNHILL...
That was just way Cool!
I'd build one or buy one for next year, anyone else wanna give it a go?
I guess we would have to get permission, but we did already sign wavers? hmmmm
When could we pack it into an event? Most of us are already extremely busy most of the day!

Sounds like fun, but I don't think SCCA insurance will cover it. Nevertheless, I think Weatherly would be awesome!

Re: We should race DOWNHILL...
I think you misunderstood me. I'm talking race cars, not goofy 3 wheelers.
By the way, weren't we approached a couple of years ago about "Street Luge" during a Pagoda or Duryea?
Those guys are truly insane.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7PcSgLmfOQ

Maybe classify it as 'pre-race festivities' or something like that. I thought of Weatherly but you'd have to pedal to get over the jump. I don't want to pedal as I am lazy.Joe Foering wrote:Sounds like fun, but I don't think SCCA insurance will cover it. Nevertheless, I think Weatherly would be awesome!
Dave, I think the 3 wheelers would be awesome! Full fire suit. Helmet, gloves, boots, the whole thing. And Morgan can start 1st. Or as close to 1st as possible. Group 1 and 2 can run at the same time. Hahahahaha! 75 bigwheels all competing for the same turn. Call FOX news and CNN. Broadcast the PHA crazies around the world.
I wanna see Dan Reed go into turn 3.
RIP Joe, my friend.
Must go faster!!!!
