Annual inspection

Postby Mwilson » Sun Mar 20, 2005 10:56 pm

Have any decisions been made on a date and place for annual inspections. I was told it might be in the Reading area sometime in April. It would be nice to know ahead of time so arrangements could be made. Any information would be greately appreciated. The various autocross schedules start in April and some of us need to register for these events.

We have nnot set a date or time yet to my knowledge.

Annual tech has nothing to do with Autocrosses in any way. All their tech takes place on site. Ours is only for the Time Trials program.

Annual inspections

Postby Mwilson » Mon Mar 21, 2005 8:04 am

Matt,
Sorry I didn't make myself clear enough. I realize that annual inspections donot have anything to do with Autocross techs. My point was we are trying to schedule autocross events and donot want to schedule an autocross the same day as an annual tech for PHA. Many of the autocross events will max out and we want to pre-register for them. No problem if worse comes to worse we will just get our cars teched at Jefferson. Thanks and sorry for the misunderstanding.

Ah, I see. I guess I wasn't thinking about that. Sorry.

I'm hoping that we'll have a day scheduled as of next PHA meeting (4/2).

Annual Inspection

Postby Joe Foering » Mon Mar 06, 2006 11:30 pm

As of my recent conversation with J.W. Orrs, there is no annual inspection date set nor, as of that conversation, will there be one... J.W. can be contacted and has expressed a willingness to inspect individual cars- assuming a mutually agreeable date and time can be arrived at.
Perhaps if there were a LARGE number of cars requesting an Annual Insp. it would warrant consideration, but everyone would have to agree on a date and then actually show up to make it worthwhile.

Since I am having to "commute" from a few states away, can I get the car pre-tech'ed before any events to make certain the car is ready for race day?
This is a newly prepared car (class S3) and has never been tech'ed before.

Or is there anyone at Summit Point (close to me.. sorta) that you recommend that could at least pre-tech the car to make certain it is together properly per the hill climb rules?

if , there is a pre event tech inspection i'd love to know of the date and location. realising this is not set up yet , i'd be interested in having this done and tow to it just to make the rest of the season much easier. my car lives in the trailer and all i need to know is location and date. :) please keep advised if this comes to be.

thank y'all
chuck.

There is no scheduled date for annual techs; they will be done at the different events. If there are any questions about this, contact me and we'll see what we can work out...
