Brian-

I may be looking to split a room if my wife doesn't attend. Don't worry, you're under no obligations...

We typically stay at the Northgate Inn in Charlestown. Pet's OK (deposit), and not too pricy. It's about 20 min from the track.

There's also a few other places, all about 1/2 hr or slightly more, and some other places in Charlestown too. We've stayed at the Hampton Inn off 81, next exit north of the track exit. We've also stayed at Shoney's in Winchester. Both nice places, but a few more $$, and longer transit time (they're in the 1/2-40min group).

Come on Brian, pack a tent and sleep under the stars. That is the only way to really go Grassroots Racing.
