Pagoda Hillclimb Update

Post by Rich Rock »

Less than 20 openings remain, better register real fast if you don't want to end up on the waiting list!

Unfortunately, we won't have use of the fenced lots at the recycling center this year, sorry.

Since we won't have use of the lots at the recycling center, it's going to be more crowded than usual. Please try to be as efficient as possible with the use of space.

We have cleared space inside Turn 2 which can accommodate several rigs/trailers. Also, the grass lot outside Turn 4 is available for rig/trailer parking. Keep in mind that if you use these areas you'll only be able to get out at lunchtime or after the event. As always, there is space for trailer parking at the fire tower and in the grassy areas along Constitution Blvd. in City Park.

Thanks!

Coming South on RT 61, just south of Leesport, turn Left on RT 73. Coming South on RT 222, at Maiden Creek Township, turn Left on RT 73.
Follow 73 to RT 12, turn right on RT 12.
Go about 2.2 miles, turn left on Skyline Drive (caution the turn is made from a downhill),
Take the right fork at the first intersection.
Follow this road to the 1st stop sign (about 1.8 miles)
Turn left and the immediately right, follow this road to the fire tower.

If you miss the left onto Skyline Drive.
Keep going and get off at the first exit after the road goes to 4 lane (Spring Valley Road). Turn left at the bottom of the ramp.
Go about 1.1 miles and turn left onto Richmond St.
Go to the top of the hill and turn left.
Go to the top of the hill and make the first right and go straight to the fire tower

Someone is going to get to run Pagoda for free, thanks to Stan Vann. He won the drawing for free entry to all three BMR/PHA events, but isn't able to make it to Pagoda. So, he's donating his free entry to the worker fund! We'll raffle it off and proceeds go to the workers. Tickets will be sold at registration. $5 each, four for $10 (what a deal). Not sure when we will hold the drawing, maybe Saturday night, maybe Sunday morning.

Thank you Stan !

THANKS to everyone who helped make it happen, it certainly wasn't easy!

Apologies to anyone who missed the Saturday dinner. The weather was lousy, wasn't forecast to get better, so a decision was made around 3pm to change the venue and time. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful in notifying everyone, and some workers and drivers missed out. I'm very sorry, if you need someone to blame you can blame me.

Thanks again to everyone who toughed it out!
