National Road indeed does a fantastic job along with Steel Cities Region. Some reasons why you should attend this Great Event:
1. Some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
2. Very challenging hill in excellent condition. And a return road that is better than most roads in Pa.
3. One of the nicest pit areas we have in our series.
4. Great food at the Stone Age Cafe. There are also some great restaurants right down the road.
5. The Briar Patch is a must see.
6. One great Banquet with plenty of homemade deserts.
7. Great entertainment on Friday Night.
8. Plenty and Plenty of runs.
9. Probably one of the Best Reasons is because it is part of our Hill Climb Series. The only way we can keep our hills
running is to have GREAT turnouts at all of the events. The success of our series rest with each and every one of
us. When we loose an event because of lack of participation we all suffer. So if you are on the fence about going
to Polish Mtn. Don't think twice. You will have one of the best times you had all summer. See you at the Hill.

Morgan makes some good points.

Point number nine is especially important in that an event that does not at least break even puts a strain on the host region and organizers and may have to be dropped if not financially viable.

I have heard peole say that it just to far away (????????). The members of PHA should appreciate how close your events are and that your travel expenses are relatively low (ask me or George). It's one of my closest events at 5.5 hours.

I'll add a couple of points to Morgan's list.

10. The event is a fund raiser for the Flintstone Volunteer Fire Department

11. A great time can be had wagering if the Bandit will ever find it's way to the top! (sorry Morg - I couldn't help myself)

I think someone should pull the plug wires off Morg's tow vehicle & not give them back until Sunday's last run. And I'm insulted, he brags about the Briar Patch & won't try my Pomegranate martinis. You've been challenged Mr. Morg!! Sue

I'd like to propose a challenge. Since this a fund raiser for the Flintstone Fire Company and we need more racers to attend I will donate (to the Fire Company) $10.00 for every driver who is registered and runs the hill. This is a great hill, a great event, great people, and for a good cause. Don't let our series down... come and support the Polish Mountain Hill Climb. Make me pay. If you want to kick in a buck a car...great. Let's not lose this event.

Thanks for the kind words folks. Those of us that are National Road Autosport look forward to this event even though it's a ton of work for just a few of us.

That said: Try us out. We think our event is special.

Reminder: Register by July 27th to avoid the $20.00 late fee.

Hope to see all our PHA friends next Friday!

I'll donate $50 if someone can produce a PayPal email account to contribute to. I want this hill around when I start back up racing.

It doesn't hurt to post donations to that Paypal account. Every buck counts.

Hi,

For those who were not able to stay for the awards presentation, I will have the trophy plates at Duryea.

Congratulations to Bryan Fritzler for FTD and a class record of 53.578. (Bryan - I owe you the class record plate. See me at Duryea or Weatherly.)

Thank you to National Road and the Flintstone Fire Department. Also thank you to the officials: Cannon, Larry, Nelson, Trevor, Kurt & Steve, and John & Steve; and to everyone else who helped out to make the event a success.

Cheers
