2013 Spring Jefferson

Post by Rich Rock »

Nelson began emailing entry forms today. Online entry will open on Monday. You can also download an entry form from the BMR website. Every entrant will have their name entered in the drawing for a free set of Falken tires. That drawing will take place at Duryea.

The other drawing, for free entry to all three BMR PHA events will take place at Jefferson. If you win, we will refund your Jefferson entry fee and you will not have to pay for Pagoda and Duryea. Tickets are still available and can be ordered by mail. $10 each or 3 for $20. Send a check to BMR PO Box 13641 Reading PA 19612

Do you actually have to stay at the event more than an hour or so to win the tickets ^^^^^^ Morg ;-)

You don't need to be there to win, but if you aren't there to buy tickets, and you haven't already bought some, your chances of winning are zero. The prize is transferable. If you win, but can't make it to one of the events, you can give (or sell) the free entry to someone else.

Some event news. We can stay over Sunday night. Not sure what time we need to be out, it depends on whether they find a renter for Monday.

We have permission to start as early as 8:30 Sunday morning.

Summit Point will supply two porta-johns for us. One in the carousel area and the other near where Nelson sets up timing.

More news coming soon.

Rich,

What time are us mere mortals allowed into the track?

I don't know for sure. The rental agreement says 6pm. Sometimes they let us in around 5, sometimes we don't get in until 6. It seems to depend on whether the facility is being used and how late they stay.

Well, the first event of the season just went bye and just wanted to say thanks to everyone. We had great weather during the day and no major issues. It was good to see everyone again and looking forward to seeing you all at Weatherly.

To everyone who was there, drivers, crew, workers, and officials, THANK YOU for helping make the event a success.

Special recognition to Matt Green, Don McLaughlin, Dan Reed and Pat Shannon, drivers whose cars were not ready but came down and worked both days anyhow. Also to Don Kennedy and Nancy Lewis, who both worked Saturday morning. They all set a fine example. THANK YOU!
